Pre-school education
Pre-school education
At Kindergarten Pusteblume, we consider preschool education to be holistic and build on the children's world of experience. It begins as soon as the child enters kindergarten and offers different focuses and learning objectives according to age. In order to make the transition from kindergarten to school as smooth as possible for the preschool children, we offer a variety of preschool activities in the last year of kindergarten before they start school.
In preschool education, we encourage the children to explore and understand themselves and their environment with all their senses. In addition to promoting basic skills, it is important to us to encourage the children in their independence, self-confidence and self-esteem. This also enables them to grasp and master the new and unknown world of school. For us, school readiness means
- participating in a learning community
- Self-confidence
- Joy
- arouse curiosity
- understanding tasks
- Language competence
- creativity
- gross and fine motor skills
- mathematical competencies
- self-confidence
- empathy
- social competence
At the beginning of a new kindergarten year, the prospective school children are combined into two groups. The groups in our Kita Pusteblume meet weekly. The aim of these meetings is that the children perceive themselves as future school children and part of these groups. Together with the educators, they carry out school activities with different focuses. They learn to make decisions together with others, to stand up for themselves and their needs, and to develop frustration tolerance.
Together with the teachers and parents, the children plan and organize their final activities, e.g. designing school bags, school children's overnight stay and farewell. There is also a visit from the fire department and the police.
In order to make the transition from kindergarten to elementary school a successful one, we rely on trusting cooperation with all parents and the teachers at the elementary school.
We regularly participate in the cooperation meetings between kindergarten and elementary schools in our city.
